Hepatica nobilis

This is Hepatica nobilis - a low-growing, herbaceous perennial that I came across on a visit to south Germany.

It is a clump-forming, semi-evergreen spring plant with 3-lobed leaves and purple flowers, flowering February - May. I found this plant scattered across a local park, mainly under trees and shrubs showing me how great this plant would be as ground-cover, especially as it is clump-forming.
Height: 10cm Spread: 30cm.
Taken by myself.
